The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon is an event that goes far beyond sport, as it has a very important social and civic aspect. The organisers of the Ibiza event have renewed their commitment to APNEEF (Association of People with Special Needs of Ibiza and Formentera), making it the official charity for yet another year.

All participants in the sporting event par excellence on the magical island can make a contribution during the registration process, an amount that will go entirely to this non-profit organisation.

A double commitment

In addition to the donation, which aims to support children and young people with disabilities on the island, the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon’s commitment also takes the form of an integration race in which the association’s runners will be able to take an active part in this great sporting festival. The race will take place in the Marina Santa Eulària and will be the first race of the day, which will give way to the Santa Eulària Ibiza Kids Run.

APNEEF, a fantastic charity project

The work of APNEEF, founded in 1998, is magnificent. They care for children and young people with physical, mental, sensory and/or cognitive disabilities, helping them to fully develop their autonomy and facilitating their integration into society through personalised therapies, guidance and family accompaniment, as well as awareness-raising activities among the population. To this end, this association has a team made up of professionals from the social, therapeutic, leisure and free time areas.

They seek to improve the quality of life of people with special needs residing in Ibiza and Formentera, offering speech therapy, paediatric physiotherapy, therapeutic psychomotor therapy, social skills, pedagogy and psychology services, among others.
