Circuito Ibiza Marathon

Santa Gertrudis marks the beginning of the 22k

The race starts in the most authentic area of the island and will visit one of the most emblematic places in Ibiza: Santa Gertrudis, with its white houses and pedestrian streets. It is considered as one of the most beautiful areas of the Magic Island, it will coincide with the passage of the marathon: a key point to measure forces and face the race with energy and enjoy the experience.

The slope down

We are at the highest point of the race and we will start to descend gently to sea level. Let yourself be carried away running through breathtaking scenery and surrounded by the pine trees along the way, feeling the island and its charms. We will once again immerse ourselves in the rural area of the island, with more shaded areas for the runner and stretches where you will be able to feel the essence of the island of Ibiza.

Puig d’en Missa and Santa Eulària to face the final section

The runners will pass Puig d’en Missa, one of the iconic elements of the island. From then on, the runners will enter Santa Eulària des Riu and run through its main streets as the locals cheer on them and give them support so that they are motivated to face the last section of the race. That way they will have the strength to overcome ‘the wall’.

Platja d’Es Canar

We enter the fastest part of the circuit, designed to give the last push in favour of the runner. The circuit will take us very close to areas with a special charm and many rapids to keep up the pace of the race. Among them, we will experience an impressive atmosphere just a few metres from the sea, accompanied by the sea breeze at Platja d’Es Canar.  +Info
