Where and when do I pick up my race bib and runner’s bag?

Both your bib number and runner’s bag will be collected at:

  • Runner’s Fair at the Palacio de Congresos de Ibiza (Avenida, Salvador Camacho, 9-11, 07840 Santa Eulària des Riu) on Friday 12 April from 10:00 to 20:00 h. non-stop and on Saturday 13 April from 09:00 a.m. until 1 p.m.
  • Last minute drop-off points:
    • Marathon. From 1:45 p.m. to3 p.m. a last minute bib drop-off point will be set up in the Port of Ibiza next to the start line
    • 22K. From 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. there will be a last minute bib drop at Santa Gertrudis next to the start.
    • 12K. From 1:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. A last-minute bib delivery will be enabled in the access area to the Corridor Fair.

 

What do I need to collect my race bib and runner’s bag?

You will need to know your bib number, which will be sent to you by e-mail the days before the race, and your ID card. If you do not receive the e-mail with your bib number, you can check it on the lists at the Runner’s Fair.


Can someone else pick up my bib?

Yes, as long as they have a signed authorisation and a photocopy of their ID and yours.

What does the runner’s bag include?

The runner’s bag includes the official JOMA Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon 2023 T-shirt of the distance in which you are going to participate, multiple gifts from the collaborating brands and discounts from brands of interest.

Can I change distances?

It is only possible to change distances for accredited medical reasons and always to a shorter distance.


Can I be accompanied on the route by bike?

No. It is forbidden to follow participants on motorbikes or bicycles, and the Local Police have expressly ordered the removal from the circuit of any person who does not comply with this rule, in order to avoid any accident to the runners themselves, the public or members of the organisation.

Is it possible to register on the day of the race?

During Friday 12 April and Saturday 13 April, it will be possible to register in person at the incident point of the runner’s fair as long as there are bib numbers available. These registrations will be subject to the “out of time” rate. In this case of on-site purchase, the bib numbers will not be personalised, nor is the desired size of the participant’s T-shirt guaranteed.


How can I find out my bib number?

Your bib number will be sent to your e-mail the days before the race.

In addition, at the Runner’s Fair you will find a list, sorted by last name, with your bib number.

Does the registration include a race T-shirt?

Yes, in the runner’s bag, which you will have to pick up at the Runner’s Fair, you will find the JOMA technical t-shirt with an exclusive design depending on the distance in which you are going to participate.

Is there a finisher’s medal?

Yes, all participants who cross the finish line will receive a finisher’s medal, which will be given to them when they leave the finish line.


Can the medal be engraved?

Yes, the service can be purchased at a price of 5€ at the time of registration. You can also request the medal engraving service at the Runner’s Fair and at the finishing line for a price of 10 €.

Will there be a practice run?

PROVISIONAL INFORMATION

Yes, in the Marathon there will be pacemakers to mark the times of: 3:15 h, 3:30 h, 3:45 h, 4:00 h, 4:30 h and 5:00 h. In the 22K there will be practice for the following times: 1:40 h, 2:00 h and 2:15 h.


Is there a cloakroom service?

Yes. The organization will have a cloakroom service located at the start of the marathon distance (Puerto de Ibiza) and the 22K (Santa Gertrudis). Everyone will be able to collect their belongings when leaving the post-finish area in the tents located at the end of the Paseo Marítima (corner with Es Riu street).Those registered in the 12K will be able to leave their belongings directly in Santa Eulària (at the post-finish exit located at the end of the Paseo Marítimo on the corner of Es Riu street) from 3:30 p.m.

The cloakroom service will be available at 09:00 p.m. once the finish line is closed.


Are there bus services?

Yes. There is a bus service, but it must be contracted at the time of registration. You cannot go up without prior reservation or at a time other than the contracted one.

  • SERVICE 1. MARATHON. Transfer of runners from the Runner’s Fair to the Marathon start (from the Santa Eulària del Riu Conference Centre to Puerto Ibiza to Puerto de Ibiza, opposite the Club Náutico de Ibiza where the boats from Formentera)

  • SERVICE 2: 22K. Transfer of runners from Ibiza to Santa Gertrudis (Start 22K). Leaving from the Port of Ibiza, opposite the Club Náutico de Ibiza where the boats from Formentera arrive in Santa Gertrudis (for bus EI-400).

    • 15:00 h. 
  • SERVICE 3: 22K. Transfer of runners from the Runner’s Fair to the 22K start in Santa Gertrudis (From the Santa Eulària del Riu Conference Centre to Puerto Ibiza to Santa Gertrudis, bus stop EI-400).
    • 14:00 h.
    • 14:30 h. 
    • 15:00 h.
    • 15:15 h. 
  • SERVICE 4: MARATHON AND 22K. Transfer of runners from Santa Eulària to Ibiza. From Santa Eulària, the stop should be near the finish line, and to the Port of Ibiza, opposite the Ibiza Yacht Club where the boats from Formentera stop.
    • 19:15 h. 
    • 20:00 h. 
    • 20:15 h.

Where is the start located?

The marathon start will be at the Port of Ibiza.

The start of the 22K distance will be in Santa Gertrudis on the EI-400.

The 12K start will be at the Marina Santa Eulària in Santa Eulària des Riu.


Are there start boxes?

Yes, there will be start boxes for each distance. In order to access these boxes it is necessary to inform the organisers at the time of registration. The exact information of each starting box will be communicated by e-mail well in advance.

How do I know which is my starting box?

Your start box will be indicated on your bib number.

Which streets will be closed?

On our website there is a section called “Citizen Info” where all the street closures are indicate (Coming Soon).

Is there a time limit for completing the race?

Yes, there is:

  • Maximum time limit of 5:30 hours to complete the marathon distance in individual mode.
  • Maximum time of 3:00 hours to complete the 22K distance.
  • Maximum time limit of 2 hours to complete the 12K distance.

The finish line will be closed at 21:00 h.


Are there intermediate cut-off points?

 

The organisers, together with the FAIB judges, will establish a series of cut-off points at certain times in the marathon:

  • KM 10: 16.45h
  • KM 20: 18.00h
  • KM 27: 19.00h
  • KM 30: 19.30h
  • KM 37: 20.30h

How many refreshment points are there along the route?

  • Marathon

Along the marathon route, there will be liquid refreshment points combined with liquid + solid refreshment points located approximately every 5 kilometres. In addition, there will be reinforcement points on the final stretch.

The specific location and products at each point will be communicated to athletes well in advance.

  • 22K

During the course of the 22K, there will be liquid refreshment points combined with other liquid + solid points located approximately every 5 kilometres.

The specific location and products at each point will be communicated to the athletes sufficiently in advance.

  • 12K

During the 12K, there will be a refreshment point around km 5 and another one after the finish line.

The specific location and products of each point will be communicated to the athletes well in advance.


Is there a solid refreshment point during the race?

Yes.Fresh fruit at refreshment stations at kilometers 20, 25, 30 and 35.Energy gels at refreshment stations at kilometers 20, 30 and 35.In addition, there will be an exclusive post-finish refreshment station for marathon participants and a bag with solid and liquid refreshments will be given to those participating in the 22K and 12K..

Where is the finish line located?

The finish line for all distances is located on the Paseo Marítimo in Santa Eulària des Riu.

Can I enter the finish line with children or an accompanying person?

No. Due to the narrowness of the finish line and the volume of participants, it is not allowed to cross the finish line accompanied in order to ensure safety and the best conditions for all runners.

Are there prizes for categories?

No. There are classifications by categories, but no prizes.

Trophies will be awarded to the first three finishers in all distances for men and women. In the case of the individual marathon, the organisation will establish economic prizes for the first three absolute finishers in the men’s and women’s categories.
