The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon will once again be supported by Trasmed in 2024. The Spanish shipping company of the Grimaldi Group has renewed for another year its collaboration agreement with an athletic event that has already established itself as one of the benchmarks of the international sports scene, given the increase in foreign participation experienced by the event edition after edition.
In this way, the participants of the seventh edition of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon will once again benefit from special conditions for their transfer from the peninsula with all the facilities to take part in any of the three races that will take place on April 13. At present, Trasmed is the main reference for maritime transport both with the ports of Barcelona and Valencia, as well as in the Balearic Islands, with a wide range of direct routes and with transhipment, offering a wide range of options to the traveller.
With the renewal of the collaboration agreement with the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon, Trasmed reaffirms its commitment to the island’s calendar of sporting events, in which this triple athletic event has established itself as a key event. An event that, in addition to reinforcing the island’s sporting offer, is presented as a piece of notable importance in terms of deseasonalising tourism due to the high number of both national and foreign participants, and their companions, that the race attracts year after year.
As Manuel Casanova, sponsorship director of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon, assures, “these six years of collaboration have allowed us to consolidate a very useful service for the participants thanks to the multiple connections offered by Trasmed, with all kinds of facilities and added advantages such as the possibility of travelling with their own car”. Manuel Casanova adds that “this agreement is of great importance for a race that has managed to strengthen its position as the most important sporting event on the island, so the support of Trasmed is vital for the race and the increasing number of runners who take part in it”.
For his part, the director of Institutional Relations of the Grimaldi Group in Spain, Miguel Pardo, assures that “sport allows us to attract quality tourism to the Balearic Islands out of season and often in areas far from other more crowded ones”.
In addition, he said that “it also allows us to offer the inhabitants of the Balearic Islands, and in this case, the island of Ibiza, the chance to see the great figures of the sport at home”. Finally, Miguel Pardo affirms that “the dissemination of the values of sport among young people is a task to which Trasmed is very committed”.
Runner’s Boat
As part of the collaboration agreement between the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon and Trasmed, it is worth mentioning the launch of the so-called Barco del Corredor (Runner’s Boat). This initiative offers a 50% discount to travel from Barcelona and Valencia to Ibiza, and vice versa. This direct discount is applied to the cost of the cabin, the seat, the vehicle and the pet, and can be accessed through the Trasmed website.
