The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon is among the main sporting events that will take place in the Balearic Islands in 2023. This is what Trasmed wanted to show at the Grimaldi Group’s stand at Fitur, which was the setting for the presentation of the main collaboration agreements between the shipping company and some of the most important sporting events on the islands. In this way, the company demonstrates its firm commitment to sport in the balearic archipelago.

The presentation was attended by those responsible for various events, such as the 32nd Challenge Ciclista de Mallorca, La Ruta de la Sal 2023, Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofía de Vela, Mallorca 312, Palmer Basket Mallorca and Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon, among others.

Manuel Casanova, sponsorship director of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon, recalled that “we have already had five editions with the shipping company and for us it is a very important agreement, mainly because it aligns the values of the race with the values of Trasmed, a company that does things well and takes care of the passenger just as we take care of our athletes”.

“With this collaboration agreement we hope that many people who want to come to run can do so with the shipping company and, in turn, have the facilities offered by Trasmed to do so. In short, with this agreement we intend to have more accessibility thanks to the connections offered by the company to reach as many runners as possible. And, in addition, this way of travelling allows the runners to come with their own vehicle, which is an added value”, concluded Manuel Casanova.

Finally, the director of Institutional Relations of the Grimaldi Group, Miguel Pardo, said that these agreements “are very important for us because they help us to promote sport and to deseasonalise the tourist season on the islands. In addition, we want people to see this type of sporting initiative and the athletes themselves as a reference to encourage them to practice sport and promote Balearic sports tourism. The values of sport are universal and it is essential to try to promote them in any way possible”.
