The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon renews its agreement with the Pacha Foundation, Social Work of Grupo Pacha, as the official sponsor of the island’s most popular sporting event.

Established as a private non-profit organisation at the end of 2018, the foundation’s mission aims to promote solidarity, resilience and excellence, as well as to strengthen its commitment to society and contribute to social, cultural, artistic and environmental objectives.

In line with these values, they are once again committed to promoting sport and healthy lifestyle habits with their support for the 7th edition of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon.

Opening of the season

This agreement is materialised in the presence of the Pacha Foundation in an event that, on April, 13 will open the tourist-sports season on the island and will do so with a programme of competitions over three distances that has seduced thousands of runners from all over the world.

For Francisco Larrey, general director of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon, “continuing to count on the Pacha Foundation as an official sponsor is a source of pride for our project. We are very pleased that they are strengthening their commitment to local sport and continue to support the growth of this very special event with three distances (marathon, 22K and 12K), as well as a Kids Run in which the values of sport and social integration are promoted from a young age”.

For Kabir Mulchandani, Chairman of the Pacha Group and the Pacha Foundation, “The Pacha Foundation believes in giving back to the island that has given so much to the Pacha Family. We are pleased to support this iconic sporting event that attracts participants from the community and around the world to experience Ibiza’s rich natural beauty and lifestyle offerings”.

About the Pacha Foundation

With the aim of consolidating and institutionalising the work carried out by the Pacha Group’s Obra Social, the Pacha Foundation was established as a private non-profit organisation at the end of 2018. The Foundation upholds its mission, which is to promote solidarity and resilience, uphold standards of excellence, maintain a genuine commitment to society and contribute to achieving social, cultural, artistic and environmental goals. In 2023, following the acquisition of the Pacha Group by FIVE Holdings, FIVE’s founder and Chairman, Kabir Mulchandani, assumed responsibility for guiding the Pacha Foundation, including the 2024 strategy currently under development. Beginning in 2024, under the leadership of Chairman Kabir Mulchandani, the Pacha Foundation will expand its ongoing support of health and social welfare organisations, which are central to the Pacha Group’s community legacy. In addition, the Pacha Group will strengthen its commitment to environmental initiatives focused on seabed conservation in the islands, including aligning with the agenda of the Spanish and Balearic authorities. Also, by continuously supporting the cultural arts, the Pacha Foundation will persist in backing initiatives aimed at preserving Ibiza’s culture and fostering the island’s emerging musical and dance talents.
