The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon 2024 is already underway. This Friday, April 12, the Runner’s Fair has opened the doors at the Palacio de Congresos de Ibiza in Santa Eulària. The mayor of Santa Eulària des Riu, Carmen Ferrer, was in charge of cutting the official ribbon together with Francisco Larrey, general director of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon. Both have been protagonists of the inauguration of a fair that expects the visit of more than 12,000 people.

The insular director of Sports of the Consell de Ibiza, Javier Bonet, participated in the official visit; insular director of Tourism of the Consell de Ibiza, Juan Miguel Costa; the deputy mayor of the Santa Eulària des Riu City Council, Miguel Tur; Councilor for Sports of Santa Eulària des Riu, Toni Ramón; and the director of the Ibiza Conference Center, Fina Riera.

In this way, the mayor, Carmen Ferrer, has officially handed over the bib number one to the favorite Aspel Kiptoo Kiprop to beat the record of the queen event, the marathon, and the 1500 to the Olympic athlete Dani Mateo, official ambassador of the sporting event. Javi Bonet has given the bib number two to Josphat Kiprop Kiptis and Miguel Tur the 1932 to Antonella Cottone. For his part, Francisco Larrey has given number 3524 to the athlete Elisa Melilli. Toni Ramón has been in charge of giving number 4000 to Adrián Guirado and Fina Riera has given number 4003 to Gemma Arnau. Juan Miguel has completed the delivery of bibs with the number 4005 corresponding to Eric Domingo.

During the tour, the delegation visited the Joma stand, the technical brand of the event, and saw the new edition of the official sneakers of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon. Subsequently, they toured the entire venue to learn about the news and details of the collaborating brands, as well as the official accommodations: Aguas de Ibiza, OD Hotels and Invisa Hoteles.

Bib number collection
All athletes registered in any of the three distances or in the Santa Eulària Ibiza Kids Run CaixaBank will be able to go to the fair to collect their number on Friday, April 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. uninterruptedly, and on Saturday, April 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Likewise, the organization has set up a collection point at the start of the marathon and the 22K, as well as at the entrance to the fair in the case of the 12K, for those runners who have not been able to collect their numbers during fair hours.

Three distances, one finish line
The Runner’s Fair is the starting signal for the 7th edition of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon. A race that with three distances and one finish line offers the opportunity to enjoy running in a dream setting like the island of Ibiza.
