The organisers of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon have handed over the proceeds from the last edition of the event to APNEEF (Association of People with Special Needs of Ibiza and Formentera).

In 2023, the Ibiza event managed to raise €3,000 and Francisco Larrey, general director of the event, has been in charge of making this contribution, which was made possible thanks to the donations of the athletes who participated in the 6th edition.

A double commitment
The main objective of the economic contribution is to support children and young people with disabilities on the island. But beyond this action, the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon promotes the integration of the association’s youngsters through their participation in the Santa Eulària Ibiza Kids Run CaixaBank.

In the 6th edition, the members of APNEEF took part in the first outing of this event in the idyllic setting of the Marina Santa Eulària.

APNEEF and Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon, hand in hand for yet another year
On April 13, 2024 the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon will celebrate its 7th edition with a programme of competitions over three distances (marathon, 22K and 12K). This edition will continue to support APNEEF.

For Francisco Larrey, this type of initiative “combines sport and solidarity. They are part of our work to promote the essential values of sport. Among them, support for the inclusion of people with special needs on the island, which is materialised in our agreement with APNEEF”.
