The organisers of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon have donated the proceeds from the last edition of the event to the APNEEF association (Association of People with Special Needs of Ibiza and Formentera).

The general director of the event, Francisco Larrey, has made effective the contribution of € 2,000, an amount raised through donations from athletes who participated in the 5th edition.

A double commitment
The financial contribution is intended to support young people and children with disabilities on the island. But that’s not all. The commitment of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon goes much further than that and materialises in the organisation of an integration race in which the association’s youngsters can take an active part in this sporting festival.

In fact, in the fifth edition, this race was held in the Marina Santa Eulària and was the first event of the day that gave way to the Santa Eulària Ibiza Kids.

APNEEF and Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon, together in the 6th edition
The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon will hold its sixth edition on the 1st of April 2023 with a programme of three distances (marathon, 22K and 12K) in which APNEEF will continue to be the official charity.

In this sense, Francisco Larrey commented that “for the whole Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon team it is an honour to be able to unite sport and solidarity. Going hand in hand with APNEEF and being able to support the inclusion of people with special needs on the island is part of our work in promoting the most essential values of sport”.
