The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon flooded the streets of the island of Ibiza yesterday afternoon with thousands of runners participating in its three distances: marathon (individual and relay), 22K and 12K. Many anecdotes and exciting stories took place during the event. During the awards ceremony, everyone present experienced a magical moment when the fiancé of the third classified, Silvia Sarrión, starred in the most curious note of the day after receiving her award from her fiancé, who went up to the award stage and asked her to marry him in front of everyone present. Silvia said “I do”, drawing applause and congratulations from the hundreds of people who witnessed the moment at the finish line and thus closing a very special moment that leaves its mark on the celebration of the event on its fifth anniversary.
We were also able to count on the presence of a large number of international influencers from the world of running who promoted the race to hundreds of thousands of followers as the ideal way to complete a weekend of sport. Among them was Elisa Melilli, a running influencer with a large community of followers on her networks, who won the women’s 22k. Also participating in the 12k was the Italian sports influencer Lisa Migliorini, who has more than 1 million followers on her networks and who enjoyed the event, sharing her journey with her entire community. Sara Baceiredo, who has more than 440,000 followers, and TV presenters Mónica Martínez and Ana Cuesta, among others, also took part.
