Ibiza 21K + 21K Relay is a new race of the Ibiza Marathon, made to share the 42.195 meter circuit experience between two participants.

This race takes the entire route of the Filípides distance, but with the novelty of being completed between two participants. The first will set off from Port d’Eivissa and will compete almost until kilometre 20 of the course, where he will meet up with his companion in the vicinity of one of the most iconic places of the race: Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera.

The moment of the relay will be unique, as the first runner will be accompanied by his relay runner and they will cross the flying finish line together in the heart of this charming corner of Ibiza. From here, the second competitor will take the lead, who will run the remaining distance to the finish line located on the Santa Eulària des Riu seafront promenade. The final objective is common: to achieve the best marathon time between the two of them.

This novel modality – increasingly established in the main international marathons – discovers a new way of experiencing the Ibiza Marathon based on a shared distance that is more fun and accessible to the popular runner. The participation categories will be male, female and mixed, with a commemorative trophy for the first three finishers
